PKR backs Azmin in handling Pas exco issue

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR has backed its deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin over the continued presence of three Pas state exco’s in the state administration.

PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in a statement last night said the party’s political bureau took note of Azmin’s explanation on the matter.

The continued presence of the three Pas excos in the state administration became an issue after Pas terminated its ‘ Tahaluf Siyasi’ or political cooperation with PKR recently.

Wan Azizah said all 13 state assemblymen and the three state excos had agreed to continue their support on the common policy involving the Selangor state administration based on the ‘ Buku Jingga’ long-term administration master plan.

She added the Pas elected representatives have also continued to place their confidence on Azmin as the Selangor Mentri Besar.

“The PKR political bureau also agrees with the approach taken by Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin to continue leading Selangor in maintaining the state government’s stability ahead of the 14th GE and continue the development of Selangor in line with the mandate received in the 13th general election,” she said.
