No finger pointing, no blaming party and have winning mentality - Melaka Umno chief

MELAKA: Don't point fingers, blame the party and have a winning mentality.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said Melaka Umno delegates should adopt this when attending the Umno general assembly next week.

He said the three elements were vital for the party and Barisan Nasional (BN) to win in the upcoming national polls.

“Firstly, we as leaders should not point fingers and blame one another as this will only weaken the party.

“We should also not blaming ourselves for whatever that has happened.

“Lastly, we must go to the ground with a winning mentality,” he told reporters outside of the state assembly sitting.

The assembly was adjourned sine die today after sitting for four days.

Idris, who is also Melaka Umno chief, said it was important that delegates maintained the spirit of unity and loyalty towards the party leader.

“Whatever decision announced by the leadership for the general election, we will take heed.

“We must look at it positively to ensure a huge win for the party,” he said.

Idris said the Umno machinery was ready and that there was no infighting in the party.
