Pakatan Harapan will go the way of Pakatan Rakyat

KOTA KINABALU: Pakatan Harapan (PH) is destined to fail as a political coalition and the only reason they are still together is their desire for power, said the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).

Its president Datuk Seri Teo Chee Kang , in a statement, said such a desire would soon likely to be subdued by the inherent distrust and conflict of ideologies within the opposition political pact.

“PH is doomed to fail as a political coalition, very much like what happened to Pakatan Rakyat.

“The naming of 92-year old (Tun) Dr Mahathir (Mohamad) as their candidate for prime minister reaffirms the fact they had no suitable leader to helm the nation.

“Whether or not Dr Mahathir is poised as a transitional Prime Minister, whether or not (Datuk Seri) Anwar Ibrahim can secure the Royal pardon and become the 8th prime minister, PH is telling Malaysians that they can only offer old and recycled leaders.

“How to lead Malaysia into the future?” questioned the Tanjong Kapor state assemblyman.

Teo, who is also Sabah Special Tasks Minister, was also astonished by the move of all PKR and DAP leaders, in hastily issuing statements to back their full support for Dr Mahathir.

“This is the man, who they had mercilessly attacked as someone behind ‘Projek IC’ in Sabah, Operation Lalang, forex scandal, the judicial crisis with the sacking of Lord President Tun Mohamed Salleh Abas and many more.

“I wonder whether their heart’s contradicted their minds when they sang praises to someone who was their enemy for decades,” he added.
