Don't entertain #SpoiltVote campaign, Adnan reminds youths

KUANTAN: The #SpoiltVote or #UndiRosak campaign is an attempt by certain quarters to sabotage the country's election process with the aim to reduce Barisan Nasional's (BN) support in the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14).

Pahang BN chairman Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said the campaign was meant to influence the young generation to withdraw their support towards the BN-led government.

"Do not be influenced by such campaign....we must continue working as usual and ensure the people are satisfied with our services.

"I am confident if we work hard, people will be able to see and value for themselves....if we entertain things like this (the campaign), it will be difficult for us to serve the people," he told reporters after attending the meet-and-greet session with the General Operations Force (GOF) southern brigade personnel at Galing camp here today.

Meanwhile, Adnan, who is also the Menteri Besar, reminded the people, especially youths, to make a wise decision and not allow emotion to interfere when casting the votes.

He said they should think rationaly and realised that the BN government has always looked after the people's welfare and had done a lot for the people in the country.

The #SpoiltVote or #UndiRosak campaign slogans, which had been viral and trending over the social media, called for the young voters to purposely spoil their ballots at the GE14 on the grounds that there was no difference between BN and Pakatan Harapan.

At the event, Adnan approved RM50,000 for activities at Galing camp and RM10,000 for each battalion under the southern brigade.
