No hard feelings, says Muhyiddin on not being named PM candidate

PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he is fine with not being named as Pakatan Harapan's candidate for prime minister in the upcoming general election.

"I have no hard feelings. I have gone through all this (when I was in the government)," he said today.

The Pakatan Harapan, which consists of PKR, DAP, PPBM and Parti Amanah Rakyat (PAN), had agreed for former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to become the country's leader again in the event that it wins the 14th General Election (GE14).

It was reported that the opposition pact had planned Dr Mahathir to serve as the interim prime minister for two years while waiting for the release of jailed PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also Anwar's wife, will be the pact's candidate for deputy prime minister.
