PM: PPBM a "parti huru-hara" that can't resolve its problems

MUAR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today described Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) as a "parti huru-hara" (chaotic party) following its failure to manage and resolve its problem with its consitution.

He said unlike PPBM, Umno and Barisan Nasional has continued to show that it could manage systematically and had a clear development vision.

He said the opposition, including PPBM, was given the freedom to establish new parties.

"If you want to set up a new party, do so, there is no restriction, however, all the 'flower party' did was copy Umno's constitution, just cut and paste. Now, the Registrar of Societies (ROS) has reportedly received many complaints from the flower party's grassroots. Meetings at its division and branch levels were not carried out but there was a general assembly...chaotic," he said when launching "Majlis Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat dan Majlis Penyerahan Lampu Jalan Kampung Fasa 8 Negeri Johor" at Padang Awam Bukit Mor, Parit Jawa, near here, today.

Also present were his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor; Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin; and Muar member of Parliament Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim.

Najib said he was resolute in ensuring that Muar would not fall into the hands of the Opposition.

He said his grandfather Tan Sri Mohammad Noah Omar and mother, Tun Rahah Mohammad Noah was born in Muar, studied, and had even worked there.

"My presence here in Muar can be likened to 'sireh pulang ke gagang' (returning to a place of origin). Part of the blood that flows through my veins are the blood of the people of Muar. So when the Opposition says it wants to wrest Muar and Johor from us, I say not a chance.

He said he has faith in the leadership of Mohamed Khaled who would continue to ensure Johor remained BN's fortress.
