Pakatan Harapan roadshow in Kuantan fails to attract crowd

KUANTAN: Pakatan Harapan's 'Rebuild the Nation' roadshow today was unable to draw the crowd, with only 150 people turning up for the event.

Held in front of a row of houses in Taman Tanah Putih Baru here, the crowd consisted mostly residents from the settlement and some children.

Most of them stood by the roadside while others sat on their motorcycles watching the PH leaders, led by PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli, talking on the makeshift stage.

Besides Rafizi, Kuantan member of parliament Fuziah Salleh and Teruntum assemblyman Sim Chon Siang were also among the speakers in the two-hour event.

Also present were representatives from Parti Amanah Negara (PAN).

In his speech, Rafizi, who is the Pandan member of parliament, announced that PH has resolved its seats allocation problem for the upcoming general elections with Selangor expected to be settled next week.

"I am not worried about Selangor or Pandan...as we will win," he said.

This was the second PH event this week which failed to draw the crowd. On Wednesday, a meet-the-people sessions by PH chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Felda Chini 2 and Kampung Gumum in Pekan also recorded a poor turnout.
