ALOR STAR: Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir has been labelled as arrogant for saying that Pakatan Harapan, led by DAP, will sack several top civil servants within 30 days the opposition pact comes into power.
Mukhriz's former special officer Haris Che Mat said the statement clearly showed that the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) deputy president was desperate to gain support when the party itself failed to meet the requirement set by the Registrar of Society (RoS).
The Pokok Sena Umno division deputy chief said Mukhriz should realise that it was the civil servants who had carried out the state government planning when he was Kedah Menteri Besar.
“He should realise how huge the service rendered by civil servants is to run the state and the country’s administration.
“This only shows he is being influenced by DAP and wiling to carry the voice of a party once loathed by his father.
“As a person who was once close to him, I urged him and PPBM to face the 14th General Election like a gentleman without the need to threaten or blame anyone, especially the RoS and civil servants, just to gain support,” he said in a statement today.
Haris said it was high time for the people to see the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan's true colour, especially PPBM, which tried to find ways to divert issues and shift the problem on other parties when it failed to overcome its own weaknesses.
“When they fail to meet the basic requirement to form a party which is to organise branch and divisional meetings, which resulted in PPBM not being able to submit the minutes to RoS, Mukhriz and his team continue to confuse the people by making empty promises and making statements that are uncalled for.
“The situation that happened in PPBM shows how weak he is as a leader. There is a possibility that if such person is given a spot as a leader, the country too will be ruined, same as the party,” he said.
