Putrajaya Umno Youth engages voters personally

PUTRAJAYA: Putrajaya Umno Youth is actively engaging with Putrajaya voters via a face-to-face approach to hear out their grouses.

Putrajaya Umno Youth chief Ahmad Faisal Abdul Karim said this was an efficient method to get information and address issues immediately, especially among male voters.

“In Putrajaya, we have about 7,000 male voters, so one member of Umno Youth will handle up to 30 voters. We are more towards the ‘man-to-man marking’ approach.

“Our machinery is all geared up for the 14th General Election,” he told the reporters after Jom Cari Kerja@Putrajaya programme at Menara Wilayah, here.

Ahmad Faisal said among the issues voiced by Putrajaya residents included the high cost of living, housing and job opportunities.

“Federal Territories Minister and Putrajaya member of parliament Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has organised many programmes to help ease the burden of the people here.

“Among the programmes include refuelling motorcycle for free and ‘Program ke Pasar’ where groceries and essentials are sold cheaper than the market price.

“Jom Cari Kerja is another effort to give opportunity for the people to find their job,” he said.

At the event, more than 500 job hunters attended the inaugural programme, which featured more than 30 companies.
