BN manifesto empowers Sabah and Sarawak

KOTA KINABALU: The Barisan Nasional (BN) Manifesto is forward thinking in empowering Sabah dan Sarawak compared to Pakatan Harapan's (PH).

Foreign Menteri Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, said the manifesto unveiled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak last night is inclusive, realistic and is a continuity of what the government is trying to achieve all this while.

The Kimanis incumbent said the BN manifesto also emphasised on real concensus and power sharing between state and federal, consistent with the spirit under Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

"Knowing the Prime Minister, I am confident on his sincerity to right the wrongs of the federal government - especially during the centralisation era when Tun Dr Mahathir (Mohamad) was at the helm.

"In fact the proposal to have a cabinet special committee to review MA63 in the PH Manifesto is considered an overlap since it has already been carried out by BN government under the Najib administration.

"I co-chair the committee and this only reflects PH's lack of awareness on developments regarding MA63," he said in a statement.

Anifah who is also Kimanis division Umno chief hope that for continuity of progress and development for the people of Sabah, the mandate is returned to BN in the 14th General Elections (GE14).

Among the items listed in the BN manifesto last night was the rights of Sabah and Sarawak under MA63 to be realised in concensus.
