JOHOR BARU: Batu Pahat Umno Division Chief Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi has been dropped as candidate for the 14th General Election.
He has been replaced for the Batu Pahat Parliament seat by the division’s Wanita Umno Chief Harliza Abdullah.
Harliza’s candidature was announced Johor Barisan Nasional Chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, this morning.
In the 2013 General Election the Special Affairs Department director general who won the seat in the 2008 polls lost in his re-lection bid in the 2013 polls, when was defeated by PKR’s Datuk Mohd Idris Jusi by 1,732 votes.
