Sabah BN to launch 'people-centric' manifesto tomorrow

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) will unveil its people-centric manifesto at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex here tomorrow.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, who is also the state BN chairman, is scheduled to announce and launch the manifesto at about 8.30pm.

The Sabah BN Manifesto for the 14th General Election is expected to outline 20 initiatives to be implemented by the party in the next five years if given the mandate.

The manifesto is expected to focus on restoring the rights of Sabah people as protected under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

This is in line with the announcement made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak when launching the BN election manifesto early this month.

In the manifesto, Najib pledged to realise the rights of Sabah and Sarawak under the MA63 through consensus.

Musa is also expected to highlight initiatives to propel the state’s economic and development overall covering areas such as security, women, youth and people’s welfare.

The launch will be attended by leaders from all BN component parties.
