Don't believe opposition's promises - Khairy

REMBAU: UMNO Youth head Khairy Jamaluddin has urged the people in the state against believing the promises made by the opposition especially during the 14th General Election period aimed at fishing for votes.

On the other hand, Khairy, who is also chairman of Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth and the Youth and Sports Minister, described the promises made as unrealistic and incapable of being implemented, besides giving an implication on the national economy.

“They said they would abolish, among other things, the toll collection and existing tax system which, if implemented, would mean they would have to look for other sources of revenue to implement the national development agenda and so on.

“I am very confident that they will not be able to fulfill their promises compared to the BN which made promises according to their capability and would be announced after the general election,”he said at an event with voters in the Rantau and Bandar Ekar State seats, here tonight.

Also present was Negeri Sembilan BN chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan, who is also the Menteri Besar.
