Don't harass my supporters - Gerakan president

TELUK INTAN: Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong has reached out to Netizens, and presumably Barisan Nasional detractors, to stop harassing the coalition’s supporters with lies and manipulation.

Responding to the smearing campaigns and threats against him, his supporters and BN, Mah expressed his disappointment on Facebook today.

“This is not just a political attack, but personal attacks on me have also been launched. Criticism is good, but do not be rude.

“However, I cannot help to be angry and frustrated when my supporters are humiliated, harassed and persecuted continuously. Some are even threatened with violence.

“There are numerous times where they throw us with false accusations. I could not accept that they are using the elderly by deceiving them and telling them to visit my office to receive cash,” he wrote.

Mah claimed the opposition had tried to accuse his camp of sabotaging its campaign trail by tapping its candidates’ vehicle tires.

He also thanked his supporters for their endless support and told the choice was in their hands.

Meanwhile, a video ridiculing certain leaders was posted by Facebook user Amir who claimed to have received it via Whatsapp, saying “I feel nauseous watching this.”

The two-minute video initially showed people speaking in Mandarin, praying to make a choice for Malaysia and strengthen the unity among citizens.

Later in the video, people were seen seated on the floor smacking a picture of a figure with a shoe, while chanting among them “Pukullah pegawai rasuah, kaki dan tangan patah” (Hit the officers who bribe, let their arms and legs break).

During the act, a man was heard stating BN top leaders names including MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong and MIC president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.

The video ended with “Are we good citizens?”
