ALOR STAR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali have cast their votes for the 14th General Election (GE14) at SK Titi Gajah this morning.
The couple arrived at 10.50am and spent about 10 minutes at the centre to cast their vote for Anak Bukit state seat and Kuala Kedah parliamentary seat before leaving for Jerlun.
Dr Mahathir when met after casting his vote acknowledged that the election process had proceeded smoothly.
The PKR Langkawi parliamentary seat candidate said he was confident of winning the three-cornered fight with BN incumbent Datuk Nawawi Ahmad and Pas candidate Zubir Ahmad.
“The voter turn out in Langkawi this morning was a bit low but overall the election process was smooth,” he said.
