Don't be fooled by photographs showing army, tanks in Putrajaya, say police

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have denied that there is a strong army presence in Putrajaya.

Several photographs showing soldiers with tanks guarding the administrative capital has gone viral in the social media since 9pm.

Putrajaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Rosly Hassan said he hoped the public would not be fooled by the photographs.

“I don’t know where the photos were taken,” he told the New Strait Times.

“I hope the people will not be influenced by the viral photos that have created fear in my area,” he said.
