PORT DICKSON: PKR president-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will share a campaign stage with former nemesis-turned-ally Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the first time in 20 years this Monday.
Anwar, who is running in the Port Dickson by-election as Pakatan Harapan’s candidate, will be speaking at a rally at the PD Waterfront.
“Don’t forget that Dr Mahathir will be here on Monday. This is the first time I will be sharing a stage with him after 20 years, and we will bring down the thunder in Port Dickson,” he said at Kampung Nelayan Teluk Kemang, here, today.
He thanked Dr Mahathir and praised him for his firm leadership in the Pakatan Harapan government.
Council of Eminent Persons chairman Tun Daim Zainuddin, who had accompanied Anwar, endorsed him as MP for Port Dickson in his speech.
He said Anwar was committed to helping fishermen market their catch and reduce their dependence on middlemen.
