SHAH ALAM: Selangor Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is in the dark over claims that Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had bribed delegates to elect him as president in the last party election.
He said the relevant authorities must not single out investigations of money politics on Umno, but must also probe PKR and other political parties on the matter.
“I am unsure of it (if claims against Zahid are true). We will leave it to the relevant authorities to investigate. If the investigations are centred around graft in party elections, then all political parties must be investigated.
“In the past during the PKR party election, there were many allegations...including that made against a candidate who was contesting for the vice-president post,” said Ismail Sabri.
