Ahmad Yakob retained as Kelantan Pas commissioner

KOTA BARU: Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob was retained as the state Pas commissioner for the year 2019 - 2021 term.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said the decision was made by the party's Central committee meeting held yesterday.

This is the sixth term that Ahmad was retained in the post in the Islamic party.

Takiyuddin said apart from Ahmad, the others who were appointed as Pas commissioners for their respective states were Mohd Shukri Ramli (Perlis), Ahmad Yahya (Kedah), Datuk Husin Awang (Terengganu) and Muhammad Fauzi Yusoff (Penang).

Others are Razman Zakaria (Perak), Rosli Abdul Jabar (Pahang), Ahmad Yunus Hairi (Selangor), Rafiei Mustapha (Negri Sembilan), Kamaruddin Sidek (Malacca), Abdullah Hussin (Johor), Azhar Yahya (Federal Territories), Paumin @Aminuddin Aling (Sabah) and Jofri Jaraiee (Sarawak).

"Their position took effect yesterday (Saturday)," said Takiyuddin who is the Kota Baru MP in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Pasir Mas MP and Pas Youth vice-chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said Kelantan Pas welcomed Ahmad’s retention as the state Pas commissioner.

"The party members will continue giving their support to the state commissioner especially in the party's bid to take Putrajaya in the next general-election," he said.
