Abang Johari, GPS leaders call on Dr Mahathir

PUTRAJAYA: Lawmakers from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) were spotted at the Prime Minister's Office today.

A four-car convoy conveying the politicians arrived at about 3.45pm and left at 4.13pm.

Sarawak chief minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg was in a Mercedes Benz which led the convoy.

Yesterday, GPS said it throws its full support behind Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to continue as Prime Minister.

The state ruling coalition, which has 18 MPs, is also prepared to side with a new federal government coalition led by Dr Mahathir if such a coalition is formed.
