KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Srikandi (Women's wing) chief Datuk Seri Rina Harun is still with the party and did not tender her resignation as claimed.
Confirming the matter, party's organising secretary Capt (Rtd) Muhammad Suhaimi Yahya said Rina had even attended the press conference by Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin at the party headquarters in Petaling Jaya earlier today.
"Datuk Seri Rina is still with the party, she sat next to me at the press conference," he said when contacted.
Earlier, news had been circulating on social media claiming that Rina had relinquished her post as Srikandi chief and Bersatu member to join another faction of the party, headed by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who had his membership terminated yesterday.
