KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Umno stalwart Tengku Razaleigh Tengku Mohd Hamzah will hold a joint press conference at 4pm today.
The event will be streamed live from Yayasan Al-Bukhary on Dr Mahathir's official Facebook page.
However, Dr Mahathir's office, which sent out the press advisory, did not divulge what will be announced at the press conference.
There has been speculation on possible political cooperation between the two old rivals after Dr Mahathir was photographed with Tengku Razaleigh, who is Umno's Gua Musang MP, in what was purportedly an "ordinary dinner" in October.
PKR president and Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stirred the political landscape recently with claims that he had obtained the support of 10 Umno MPs who had signed a Statutory Declaration (SD) backing him as the next Prime Minister.
