Saarani said the line-up is a combination of young and experienced leaders, including those who had been in the exco before.

"All state exco members have held a meeting for the first time to discuss and decide on some important matters.

"Among them is the First Meeting and Second Meeting of the First Year of the 15th State Assembly of Perak Darul Ridzuan, which will be held on Dec 19 to table the 2023 budget and anti-hopping law," he said.

Saarani also said the state government had retained Datuk Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid as speaker of the legislative assembly.

On Monday, Kota Tampan assemblyman Saarani was sworn in as the 15th Perak menteri besar, a position he had held before the dissolution of the legislative assembly.

Yesterday, 10 executive councillors (seven from Pakatan Harapan and three from Barisan Nasional) were sworn in before Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah at Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar.

Apart from the exco members, DAP's Canning assemblyman Jenny Choy also took an oath as the legislative assembly's deputy speaker.
