Azmin: Green wave tag is just a scare tactic [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) information chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali reminded people not to fall for the scare tactics of the opposition related to the 'green wave' which is often associated with the party.

He said the tagline was used by opposing party leaders to push support away from PN and promised that the coalition's policies would represent all races, especially in Selangor.

"Do not be scared of the green wave.

"It is just scare tactics by certain groups to scare away the voters.

"PN is committed to implement policies that will benefit all Malaysians," he said in a press conference after a closed door meeting with news agency editors here today.

He said that PN Federal governance had managed the economic situation well during the Covid-19 pandemic where it implemented various initiatives which benefited all.

He cited the wage subsidy initiative where although many workers were Malays, he said the company owners were Chinese, and this clearly reflected that all parties did benefit from PN's initiative to stay afloat during the pandemic.

He said that when Pas was termed as Islamic hardliners, it only managed to govern one state.

However, he said Pas has changed its stance to be more inclusive and moderate, hence it has managed to win other states over the years.

"They made significant inroads in the last election.

"The key here is moderation, progressive and tolerance. This is the stance taken not only by Pas but also PN," he added.
