Sanusi the boy who cried wolf, says Kedah Umno

ALOR STAR: Kedah Umno has chided Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor over his claims that Perikatan Nasional has secured sufficient numbers of statutory declarations (SD) to overthrow the unity government.

Its Information chief Datuk Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin described Sanusi as 'the boy who cried wolf' and challenged the PN's election director to prove his words by bringing down the federal government now.

"Sanusi is still going around telling a fairy tale and falsely claiming there are sufficient SDs to overthrow the Madani government led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"We can describe Sanusi as the shepherd boy who repeatedly fooled villagers into thinking a wolf is attacking his sheep, perhaps people may believe it for the first or two times, the third time people will not buy it.

"He has been bluffing so many times, the people are fed up," he said in a statement today.

Shaiful added that the claims that PN would be overthrowing the federal government have been repeated since last August.

"Perhaps during the first time, people might believe it but after claiming that they have sufficient SDs since August, who will believe it now?

Shaiful said the claims were just a mind game by Sanusi to create distrust among members of Parliament but he had forgotten that he was already branded as a liar.

"When you keep on telling lies, the people will not believe you, even those mentally unsound will not believe Sanusi's claims.

"I have confidence that none of the MPs  will fall for Sanusi's mind games. In fact, the reality is far from what is claimed by Sanusi.

"According to the Bukit Gantang MP, there are seven or eight more MPs who will announce their support for the PM's administration. In short, the support for the PM is getting stronger, it is the support for PN that is waning," he said.

Shaiful reiterated his challenge against Sanusi to mobilise the move to immediately bring down the government.

"If it is true that the SDs are sufficient, why is he still wating? Do it now, don't waste time!" he said.

On Sunday, Sanusi claimed that PN had already secured sufficient numbers of SD to topple the unity government but did not elaborate on the details expect to say  "just wait for the day."

A day earlier, PN brushed of a false statement claiming that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has agreed to grant an audience to 118 MPs purportedly issued by its secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

However, Anwar who is also Pakatan Harapan chairman, has stated that the 'Dubai Move' would not affect the unity government.
