Faith and hope keep us going

THE mysterious Flight MH370 puzzled a great many in the aviation industry and brought untold sorrow to families and friends of the passengers and crew. After five years, the plane has still not been found.

While the government has committed to resume the search when there are fresh leads, families continue to grieve in silence.

There will be no closure until the plane is found.

The thought of their loved ones perished in the vast Indian Ocean after it was believed the plane had nose-dived will haunt them for the rest of their lives.

By all counts, it was a huge challenge for any search party as the ocean is rough and treacherous. Search parties have to respect and take heed of the danger that can befall them if they are careless or negligent.

As a nation and fellow human beings, we want the grieving families to know that we are praying for MH370 to be found, and that someday, experts could interpret or read into volume or pages of flight data and maps of the ocean floor gathered by previous searches and pinpoint the location of the plane.

It may be a long shot but giving up is not an option. Perseverance pays. Who knows, it may be “the last mile of the way” before MH370 is found.

To the grieving families, your pain is felt and we will continue to pray and believe the plane will be found in the near future. Be comforted that MH370 will not remain buried forever.

Someday, the ocean will yield and release its long-kept secret and give closure to all of us.

Until then, let us have faith and hope in our hearts. Remember the saying: “Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.”
