Oppressive virus to all of us

LETTERS: From an epidemic in China to a global pandemic, the Covid-19 outbreak is a wake-up call not only to us but to the rest of the world that nothing can be taken for granted.

The rapid manner that the outbreak has spread across the globe is vividly clear that the pandemic knows no borders irrespective of creed, colour or religion.

The virus is oppressing all of us. How long is this oppression going to last and what the repercussions will be, only time will tell.

With more than 1,300 people in the country contracted the disease already, it is a grim reminder that whether we like it or not we have to face the reality of this oppression till the dust settles.

It is a test of our will to help each other to be safe and to help Malaysia to overcome this crucial period. Responsibility to ourselves, to our fellow Malaysians and to our beloved country, is of paramount importance.

Let us put our differences aside, come together as one in this gloomy and trying episode to pull through the storm. The power is in our determination to succeed for Malaysia to prevail.
