Improve app to add more details on vax

LETTERS: Based on my experience, I believe the MySejahtera application can be further improved. I am a Malaysian with permanent resident status in Singapore.

I acquired my Pfizer vaccination in March this year in Singapore. My vaccination certificate indicates my Singapore identity card (IC) number. It does not indicate my Malaysian passport number.

Upon returning to Malaysia in May this year, at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, my Malaysian passport number was entered into my MySejahtera app (downloaded for me at the airport).

Recently, I tried to get my Overseas Vaccination Certificate (Singapore) inserted into my MySejahtera.

I had a tough time getting approval because the information on my MySejahtera profile has my Malaysian IC, whereas my vaccination certificate from Singapore has my Singapore IC (being a PR). My Singapore certificate does not have my Malaysian passport number either.

Now you can imagine the confusion over identification just because there is no additional feature to enable one to enter this piece of information into the profile of MySejahtera during registration.

My Singaporean wife, who is on a social visa here, is still getting her particulars sorted out concerning her documentation (Singapore IC/passport/and MySejahtera). In the meantime, she faced an embarrassing situation recently at Low Yat Plaza in Bukit Bintang.

On Nov 28, she was refused entry into a shop because her MySejahtera status showed that she has not been vaccinated, even though she told the authorities that she was from Singapore and that she was vaccinated (Trace Together). She was told, "Only MySejahtera is used... this is Malaysia" and MySejahtera stated that she was not vaccinated.

I believe the Helpdesk feature in MySejahtera should ask such people to provide additional information via email with attached documents rather than keep asking them to check whether their MySejahtera is correct.

In cases such as mine or my wife's, it can never be correct because the vaccination certificate only indicates the Singapore IC.
