KTMB's response to 'A missed chance for KTM Komuter'

LETTERS: We are referring to Mr. Bligh's Letter on A missed chance for KTM Komuter which was published on June 14, 2022.

2. We appreciate Mr. Bligh's support for KTMB and his concern about Malaysia's public transportation particularly in the Klang Valley. Mr. Bligh's displeasure with our services is also something we acknowledge and recognise.

3. His understanding on the Klang Valley Double Track Electrification (KDVT) rehabilitation project that is currently on-going is indeed appreciated.

4. Several lines in the KVDT1 projects are still not being upgraded, in which for some sectors, the trains are still running on existing tracks, unchanged track crossovers and electric overhead lines. Thus, the train operations have to be properly regulated, to ensure optimum path for train movements and the safety running of trains within the construction sectors. With the continuous works done on the projects, the current scheduling arrangements of train frequency will be improved.

5. In line with the work progress completion of KVDT track rehabilitation, KTMB plan to provide the shuttle services between Batu Caves Station to KL Sentral Station with more frequent services to accommodate the passengers' need and provide connectivity with MRT at Kampung Batu station.

6. Rest assured that KTMB is constantly striving to enhance and strengthen its operations and railway systems, to provide better service to all of our passengers, cargo and freight customers.

7. KTMB is working closely with the government to ensure sufficient infrastructures such as acquirement of rolling stock, upgrading tracks and the latest signalling system are in place to better serve the public transportation passengers.

8. KTMB will continue to improve all of its services in order to better serve the nation.
