Aset Kayamas to roll out more affordable homes in Klang Valley

KUALA LUMPUR: Aset Kayamas Sdn Bhd will continue to focus on rolling out more affordable housing projects in Klang Valley.

Its founder and managing director Tan Sri Chai Kin Kong said this yesterday, adding that Aset Kayamas projects are known to sell out fast partly because they are competitively priced and also located strategically around Klang Valley.

“Most of our buyers are new home owners who have never owned any properties.

“Before this, their primary deterrence to purchase their own home was due to the high market rates.

“We are glad that with us, they can finally afford a property of their own,” he told reporters at the launch sale of The Holmes 2 yesterday.

All 479 units of The Hamstead condominium project in Desa Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur were snapped-up within three hours during its launch on April 8, while the launch of The Hamilton condominium in Wangsa Maju, Setapak in January saw all 435 units sold out in less than four hours.

Chai said that The Hamstead is the second project launched by Aset Kayamas in 2017.

“A lot of buyers did not manage to secure a unit of The Hamstead, as such, we have invited these buyers to purchase units of The Holmes 2, Bandar Tun Razak instead.

“The price of The Holmes 2 is slightly higher than The Hamstead but we have decided to try and match the prices in order to help these buyers fulfil their wishes to own a home,” he said.

Chai added that it is also part of the company’s motto to deliver projects ahead of the slated deadline.

“This is also one of the reasons why our buyers trust that we can deliver,” he said.

Aset Kayamas group executive director Michael Chai also said that it is their vision to be a benchmark in the property industry – not in terms of price point but in ‘value for money’.

“We offer more than what our buyers pay for and that is one of our selling points.

“How we do it? We don’t ride on high margin profits. That is how we are able to offer competitive prices,” he said.

He added that beginning from 2015, all Aset Kayamas projects will be equipped with four-tier-security systems.

“We saw the need for this system as from our observations crimes often take place at the car park area.

“So with this security system, we will be able to separate the visitor and residence parking to avoid unwanted visitors from loitering around the residence parking,” he said.
