Final series of MyRumah Property Showcase a huge success with 10,000 visitors

PETALING JAYA: The fourth and final series of the MyRumah Property Showcase for the year which is being held at The Curve shopping mall continues to draw a good response from the public, with more 10,000 visitors recorded, thus far.

The showcase, organised by the New Straits Times Press Bhd (NSTP), is a three-day event which kicked off on Friday, and features seven well-known property developers, 23 property experts and six forums.

NSTP Advertisement general manager (agency and SME), Roche Chew, said that more than 300 potential buyers have registered for houses priced between RM200,000 to RM1 million, which were showcased at the event.

“I believe we managed to provide a good platform to educate our readers, as they have gained valuable knowledge on property matters while also providing opportunities for developers to showcase their products.

“A large number of our readers came to the event for the forums and talks, and to meet with the various property experts to get a free consultation.

“We have helped developers draw in more serious buyers,” he said.

Chew added that among the topics highlighted at the talks and forums included property investment hot spot, fire safety issues, tenant management, housing loan and Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) issues.

Aiming to make NSTP a leader among media companies for property consultation, Chew said that they hope to continue to organise the MyRumah Property Showcase annually.

Meanwhile, TRB Ventures Sdn Bhd co-founder and chief executive officer, Quek Wee Siong, who were among the speakers in one of the forums said that MyRumah provided a platform for developers and relevant agencies to showcase their products and services while also raising awareness among the public on property matters.

“I believe all parties – property developers, companies providing relevant services and consumers – benefited from the event,” he said.

The first MyRumah showcase was held in March at NSTP’s headquarters in Balai Berita Bangsar, followed by the second showcase at Komtar JBCC, Johor Baru in May, and the third was at Aman Central Mall, Alor Star in August.

The first two exhibitions saw 37 property units sold valued at RM30 million.
