Smart-Lighting: Enlightening Caspia experience

The Philips Hue system will be included in the interior design (ID) package the project developer, Mah Sing Group Bhd, is offering for Caspia Phase C2.

The total value for the ID package, coupled with the Philips Hue system, is RM150,000, but Mah Sing is offering it at RM42,000.

Caspia Phase C2 comprises double-storey cluster homes. Launched recently, they are each priced from RM870,800.

Mah Sing’s chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang expects good take-up for Caspia Phase C2, which is the first property project in Malaysia to implement the smart-lighting solutions.

A memorandum of understanding was inked last week between Mah Sing and Philips Lighting. Under the deal, the latter will offer consultation and implementation of products, design, illumination, energy efficiency and other aspects of lighting for Phase C2 of Caspia.

Phillips Hue will allow users to control their connected lights intelligently from anywhere in the world using a smart device for leisure and security. It is easily compatible with most platforms, including voice commands with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Nest and Apple HomeKit.

In addition, it can help manage a host of other activities, including music and movie sync, alarm system as well as mood lighting as per users’ daily schedule.

“Our target buyers are a good fit with the target market for the Phillips Hue system, namely upgraders and tech-savvy working professionals who are discerning in furnishing their homes with the technology which enhances life.

“In a technology-driven age, we are constantly discovering new ways and ideas to reinvent and elevate standards of home living for Malaysians. Thanks to our partner Philips Lighting, we will continue to uphold our promise with Caspia and provide fully-furnished homes that are futuristic, and enhance the lifestyle and experience of home buyers,” said Ho.
