More thrills on the way at Gamuda Cove

Gamuda Land is upping its 612-hectare Gamuda Cove township in Selangor and investing millions of ringgit to create new components for entertainment and leisure purposes.

It will spend RM350 million to develop a 7.2-ha rainforest-themed water theme park that is expected to open by December 2021.

The theme park will offer a total of 18 water rides, over 50 different types of international and local cuisine, a 300-metre lazy river, a twin surf beach pool with private cabanas, simulated surfing, interactive waterplays, stage performances and a three- or four- star hotel.

The developer is expected to spend RM90 million just for installing the rides.

Some of the key features of the RM20 billion integrated township include a 24ha Central Park containing three lakes, an entertainment hub known as Discovery Park, and the theme park, as well as the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery.

The 20,000 sq ft experience gallery features a modular and modern design. As visitors pass through the replica and they go in, they can have an immersive experience from a 5G speed test panel, a virtual reality experience room, an interactive 5G information wall, a display booth for perimeter and air sensing, to an augmented reality screen for kids play.

Located across the experience gallery is the Discovery Park, home to several unique attractions and experiential activities including the Rainbow City that is inspired by Taiwan’s Rainbow Village with a Malaysia twist and the first in South East Asia Cove Aerobar.

The general manager of Gamuda Cove Wong Yik Fong said Gamuda Land has been mindful in creating memorable moments for people and the community, be it in the design and masterplan or through its activities and initiatives.

Gamuda recently created a new spotlight in the township development. It made its record into the Malaysian Book of Records with the country's Tallest Cherry Blossom Tree Replica installed in the township.

The company invested about RM30,000 in the 30ft replica, also dubbed as a wishing tree and it will be on display at the entrance of the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery until 4 April 2020.
