The top winners of the first and second waves of Sime Darby Property Bhd's Capture 8 Photo Contest were revealed during a ceremony to hand out prizes at The International Gallery in KLGCC Resort.
The inaugural competition held in collaboration with Canon Malaysia, invited participants to submit images that best exemplified the distinctiveness of the townships built by the real estate developer utilising the three themes of leisure, culture, and nature.
Out of the more than 4,000 entries received for the first and second waves of the competition, 84 winners in the professional, smartphone, drone, and special categories were chosen.
Four Sime Darby Property townships—namely Putra Heights in Selangor, KLGCC Resort in Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Ainsdale and Nilai Impian in Negeri Sembilan—were featured in the entries of the winners for their beauty and wonder.
Fadlurrahman Maksom caught the breathtaking beauty of the Nilai Impian township in this sunset photograph that features one of the numerous Instagram-worthy statues in the development.
Leong Chee Wai's entry showcases that beauty is present in all views and angles at the KLGCC Resort.
Capture 8 officially began in April 2022 and will last for eight months, ending on November 30, 2022.
All Malaysians may enter the competition, which provides rewards totaling more than RM288,888.
The first-place winners in each category will be eligible to take a trip for two to the iconic Battersea Power Station in the heart of London, United Kingdom, as the grand prize.
Participants can join the third wave of Capture 8 now through October 7, 2022, and submit images showing the Serenia City and Subang Jaya City Centre townships in Selangor.
The City of Elmina in Selangor and KL East township in Kuala Lumpur will be included in the fourth wave, which runs from October 8 to December 7, 2022.
