KUALA LUMPUR: Epicon Bhd has partnered with PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd to develop 2,252 units of affordable housing in Rawang, Selangor.
Both parties have formed a consortium agreement, marking a significant step forward in the mission of providing an opportunity for Selangor citizens to own high-quality homes at an affordable price.
Epicon will become the main turnkey contractor to construct the development of Rumah Idaman MBI (RIM) of 2,252 units on the parcel of land held under Mukim Rawang, Gombak.
The two parties agreed to explore further collaboration opportunities for future RIM or affordable housing projects in Selangor.
Epicon group chief executive officer Clement Toh said a common challenge in affordable housing projects is the high cost of construction, which impedes the development of such essential initiatives for the B40 and M40 households.
"By emphasizing value engineering, we have developed a model that not only keeps construction costs in check but also ensures the delivery of high-quality projects. "Therefore, we create a win-win situation for all stakeholders involved – from investors to future homeowners.
