Johor to revive six housing projects worth over RM700mil this year

KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor state government aims to rejvive one abandoned and five sick projects encompassing a total of 1,928 housing units valued at over RM700 million this year.

Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, the Chairman of the State Housing and Local Government Committee, revealed that these projects are slated for completion across four districts, in partnership with the Sick and Abandoned Project Monitoring Committee.

This collaborative effort involves the State Housing Development Corporation of Johor (PKPJ), local authorities, and technical agencies, reported Bernama.

The five projects facing difficulties include Taman Sri Unas Permai in Muar, Taman Desa in Tangkak, Taman Residensi Larkin Indah, Taman Molek Perdana in Johor Bahru, and Taman Impiana Kulai in Kulai, totaling 1,538 houses.

Additionally, the abandoned project, located in Taman Kulai Utama comprises 390 units.

Mohd Jafni reportedly said that the state government successfully concluded five ailing projects valued at about RM300 million over the past two years.
