KUALA LUMPUR: An all Malaysian men's singles last 16 match will not materialise at the World Championships in Copenhagen, after Ng Tze Yong lost in the second round yesterday.
Tze Yong, playing in only his second world meet, went down fighting 24-22, 21-16 to 12th seed Anders Antonsen of Denmark.
Antonsen will next play Lee Zii Jia for a place in the quarter-finals.
Zii Jia had earlier overpowered
Canada's Brian Yang 21-11, 21-16.
