KUALA LUMPUR: Women's pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah staged a remarkable comeback in the rubber game to edge Thailand's Rawinda Prajongjai-Jongkolphan Kittitharakul and reach the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Open today.
The Malaysian sixth seeds clawed their way back from 18-15 to carve out a 15-21, 21-14, 21-19 victory over their third-fourth seeded rivals at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
The win saw Pearly-Thinaah extend their 100% record against Rawinda-Jongkolphan to five matches.
Pearly-Thinaah will face either top seeds Mayu Matsumoto-Wakana Nagahara of Japan or Thailand's Benyapa Aimsaard-Nuntakarn Aimsaard in tomorrow's last four.
