KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah marked their Asian Games debut on a winning note, storming into the women's doubles last 16 with a victory over Singapore's Crystal Wong-Jin Yu Jia.
Pearly-Thinaah, playing in their first match of the Games, were quick to hit top gear as they beat Crystal-Yu Jia 21-12, 21-16 for their third straight win over the Singaporeans.
The Malaysians will next face Thailand's Rawinda Prajongjai-Jongkolphan Kittitharakul.
