Day 13 of Asian Games: Malaysia on target for more medals

HANGZHOU: Two more days and the Hangzhou Asian Games will come to an end.

Malaysia have hit the 27 medal target and have won five gold medals.

There is a very high chance that the contingent will be adding a few more medals to the tally, and possibly strike gold in one of them.

Karate started on Thursday and has already delivered a silver.

Lovelly Anne Robberth claimed in the silver in the women's individual kata, and could make it a double when she competes in the team kata today.

Badminton has already secured one medal and it is now up to former world champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik to work on their big game mentality and give Malaysia more than just a bronze

After winning silver in the men's team event last week, there is hope that Malaysia will deliver another medal from sepak takraw.

The players will play in the regu semi-finals today.

Separately after a poor outing, the Malaysian Speedy Tigers will be playing to save some pride, and must finish in fifth place, to avoid any more bad press.
