Pearly-Thinaah crash out in first round of Malaysia Open

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's No. 1 women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah are out of the Super 1000 Malaysia Open.

The world No. 12 Malaysians were sent packing in the first round of the competition today after going down in straight games 22-20, 21-15 to China's Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning.

For the record, Pearly-Thinaah also suffered a first round exit last year, and only made it as far as the second round in 2022.

Liu Sheng-Tan Ning will play their compatriots Li Yi Jing-Luo Xu Min next on Thursday.
