Fatehah moves up in world rankings

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite the failure to shine in last week’s second series of the World Cup in Manchester, cyclist Fatehah Mustapa has moved up 13 rungs to No. 23 in the International Cycling Union world rankings.

This has motivated Fatehah as the 28-year-old now aims to make an impression in the Asian Cycling Championships (ACC) in Nilai and the World Cup in the Netherlands, both in February.

“It is great to move up the rankings, but I am upset for not earning points in Manchester. I was disqualified for causing a crash in the women’s keirin final in Manchester.

“I will now give my 100 per cent on preparing for the ACC and the World Cup,” said Fatehah on Friday.
