TSG looking at races in Turkey and Rwanda

With Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) out of the picture next year, Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) have now set their sights on races in Turkey and Rwanda.

TSG chief executive officer Che Ku Mohd Izmuddin Che Ku Mahmood said the team have already laid out plans to train and compete in the two countries during the January-February period.

"Tentatively, the plan is to conduct a training camp in Turkey in mid-January after which we will look to compete in five or six one-day races, which are rated at UCI1.2, there," said Che Ku.

"We also have plans to compete in the Tour of Rwanda on Feb 21-28. The team bound for Rwanda will comprise a different set of riders.

"But whether we go or not depends on the Covid-19 situation at the time.

Che Ku listed the Grand Prix of Alanya (Feb 6), GP Velo Manavgat (Feb 20) and the GP Velo Alanya (Feb 21) as races they are looking to join in Turkey.

The Tour of Rwanda is part of the UCI Africa Tour.
