JDT's Ghaddar is Kedah's nightmare

JOHOR Darul Ta’zim (JDT) striker Mohamad Ghaddar wants to live up to his reputation - a striker to be feared - when he faces Kedah in the Malaysia Cup final at Shah Alam Stadium today.

Ghaddar, who has scored 23 goals in the Super League this season and six goals for the Malaysia Cup campaign, will be JDT’s main man in attack if coach Ulisses Morais decides to let Ghaddar lead the Southern Tigers’ attacking line.

The Lebanon-born footballer is used to performing in finals after helping Kelantan emerge as champions in the 2012 Malaysia Cup and the 2012 and 2013 FA Cup.

Ghaddar, 22, brought by JDT mid-year from Kelantan, believes he can make the Southern Tigers’ fans proud.

“This is our last game and we have won the Super League and this is a chance for us to win one more trophy.

“The way I figured, everyone is waiting for this final and this is the victory that Johor has been waiitng for, for the players, their families and the fans,” he said.

Ghaddar is expected to be fielded as the sole attacker upfront for JDT but Morais still has the options of Ahmad Hazwan Bakri and Darren Lok if he wants to change his strategy.
