Pattaya fried rice gives Marcote the kicks

ALOR STAR: One thing that can lure a coach from Europe to Kedah is Pattaya fried rice.

It is one of the major reasons why Spaniard

Ramon Marcote is keen to return to Alor Star to take charge of the Red Eagles again.

Marcote was Kedah assistant head coach in 2015, and it was during this time at the club that he fell in love with Pattaya fried rice.

The Spaniard is likely to have

another chance to tuck into his favourite dish as he has been linked with a move back to Kedah next season.

Marcote, who confirmed that he has been in discussion with Kedah FA, said: "I miss the Pattaya fried rice, it’s my favourite food when I was staying in Kedah.”

"I have been contacted by the Kedah Football Association recently to discuss a contract as their head coach.

"There is nothing official yet. I will just wait for the next step."
