KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) striker Bergson da Silva now leads the way in the race for the Super League Golden Boot after he bagged a brace against Sabah at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Sunday.
The Brazilian scored in the 19th and 21st minutes to take his tally to 19 goals, two more than nearest Golden Boot rival Ifedayo Omosuyi of Selangor.
The Sabah goal post denied Da Silva a third in the 55th minute. JDT collected three points with a 2-0 win.
With the win, leaders JDT have 45 points from 18 games, while Sabah are seventh on 19 (four wins and seven draws).
