KL City stretch Super run as Pahang fall

KUALA LUMPUR: KL City extended their unbeaten streak to nine games in the Super League after securing a 2-0 win over Sri Pahang at the Darulmakmur Stadium today.

The City Boys, who have already achieved their target of 24-25 points for this season, travelled to Kuantan without pressure.

And it reflected in their game as Bojan Hodak's side dominated the first half with numerous goal attempts from as early as the fourth minutes which saw captain Paulo Josue's attempt stopped by Pahang goalkeeper Daniel Wafiuddin Sa'dun.

However, KL City broke the deadlock in the 49th minute when Colombian Romel Morales capitalised on a defensive lapse to put them in the lead.

KL City's second goal arrived in the 71st minute when Zhafri Yahya prodded the ball home after a nifty exchange between J. Partiban and Morales,

The win gave KL City 27 points from six wins and nine draws after 19 games. The City Boys are sixth in the table while Pahang stay ninth with 17 points from four wins and five draws from 18 games.
