TMJ and Pan Gon in Harimau link-up

NATIONAL coach Kim Pan Gon and Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim have "teamed up" for the betterment of the national football team.

Tunku Ismail's Instagram exchange with Pan Gon had got tongues wagging on social media.

The Johor Crown Prince today shared screen shots of his text conversations with Pan Gon on Instastory.

The South Korean, who has just steered Malaysia to the 2023 Asian Cup from their Group E qualifiers, has been updating Tunku Ismail on the national team.

Tunku Ismail's Instagram sharing revealed that Pan Gon had introduced himself to the former FA of Malaysia president following his appointment as national coach in January, and he congratulated JDT for winning the Charity Shield.

Pan Gon, who praised Tunku Ismail for elevating Malaysian football, updated the JDT owner on the national team and requested his support.

Pan Gon had also shared with Tunku Ismail the national team's plan and line-up for their recent friendlies against Brunei and Hong Kong, as well as the recent Asian Cup qualifying campaign.

Pan Gon also appealed to Tunku Ismail to reconsider his recent decision to take a step back from managing JDT's daily operations.
