Quick and easy for JDT

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) posted their fourth straight win after routing Kelantan 5-1 in a Super League match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium today.

JDT got a penalty as early as the third minute when winger Arif Aiman Hanapi was fouled. Though it was unsuccessfully taken by Fernando Forestieri, Diogo Luis Santo scored from the rebound.

Play was delayed for five minutes due to a frayed Kelantan goal netting. On resumption, JDT scored two more goals before halftime, through Endrick dos Santos and Forestieri.

JDT's Juan Muniz struck in the 56th minute with an assist from Matthew Davies. Eleven minutes later, Goalkeeper Syihan Syihan Hazmi, who kept a clean slate in his first three games, fouled Kelantan forward Ismaheel Akinade, Substitute Leonardo Gabriel Rolon scored the Red Warriors' consolation goal with a spot kick.

With less than 10 minutes on the clock, a third penalty was awarded, and this timem it's for JDT. Substitute Akhyar Rashid was felled inside the box, leading to Arif getting JDT's fifth goal.

JDT coach Esteban Solari said: "It was difficult today because it was hot, but the players made the efforts, scored really fast but lost their rhythm towards the end of the first half."

Kelantan coach Choi Moon Sik said: "JDT's first two goals came quick, which made the game difficult for us."
