Soleen wants more bite from Malayan Tigress after Saudi show

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malayan Tigress were tame infront of goal against Saudi Arabia at the King Fadh Sports City Stadium in Riyadh on Monday.

World No. 89 Malaysia failed to score any goal against world No. 170 Saudi in the women's friendly tournament, and coach Soleen Al-Zoubi wants them to be sharper in their next group match against Pakistan tomorrow.

The Malaysian side had several gilt-edged chances against the Saudis, but could not convert them due to lack of composure.

Former Jordan FA women's football director Soleen said: "To be honest, the result is not what we wished for or deserved.

"But our players played well. They tried everything, and were unlucky in the finishing."

The draw leaves Malaysia second in Group A and they need to collect full points against Pakistan to advance to the semi-finals.

"In our next game, we need to improve on our finishing," said Soleen.
